ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and United Kingdom are closely working together on mutual interests and the UK has long understanding with Pakistan which helped to make things easier for the two countries, said Thomas Drew, British High Commissioner to Pakistan.
Talking to the media people at his residence he said, “I feel so proud to work in Pakistan after ten years as British High Commissioner.
The UK has huge interest and support for Pakistan’’.
“It is mark of our commitment that the British Mission to Pakistan is our second largest in the world; our bilateral development programme here is our biggest anywhere in the world; and there is highest level of our government”, the British diplomat said.
BHC is willing to work on mutual security, for regional stability, and to help promote the economic and political development of the country in a way which enhance the prosperity and well being of both countries.
The most exciting part of challenge is helping Pakistan unleash its potential, he opined.
Thomas Drew praised Pakistani food and culture and said he like the beauty of the capital and history of old Peshawar city, the culture vibe of Lahore or the commercial buzz of Karachi.
